COQUETTE aka "Coquette" -- 1999 (11 yo), Dark Bay mare by Cor Noir/Cor de la Bryere out of Aquantae/Alaska III. Registered Oldenburg NA. Standing 16.2H+ with substantial build.

BLOODLINES: Coquette has a very similar look as her sire, Cor Noir -- a 1987 Holsteiner Stallion with the coveted Cor de la Bryere--Marmor--Matador lines. Cor Noir was awarded the Class I status at his 100-Day Testing In Germany with an overall score of 123.18 points. He was a powerful mover with strong mechanics and thrived in the demands of FEI dressage competition. He has a prepotency for a large frame, correct foundation and elevated movement that made him a prized influence across all major registeries and varying disciplines, especially open jumpers. Coquette is out of the Main Mare Book Registered Oldenburg NA dam, Aquantae. Her damsire, Alaska III, is a noted high level jumper of 7.2 and was later trained and competed thru FEI dressage. Alaska III has the Highest Honor of Danish Warmblood Stallions with the title State Premium Stallion. Coquette's conformation and movement are very much influenced by her sire...the similarities are remarkable.

BACKGROUND: Coquette was bred, raised, ridden and is still owned by an AA lady on her private farm in north eastern MD. Her owner has competed Coquette in low level dressage and has taken pleasure in all aspects of this mare. She has a history of soundness and health from a loving environment. Coquette is the quintessential easy keeper....no supplements, little grain, loves turnout, and she has been barefoot her whole life!!! Her owner sadly must sell her hombred warmbloods due to a motorcycle accident last year that has dampered her ability to consistently ride. The sale of this lovely mare was never intended and is emotional, so a good home takes precidence over all other aspects of this sale.

CURRENTLY:Coquette arrived to Thornridge in late September 2010 and is one of the easiest horses we have ever had here!! She has superb ground manners, turnout etiquette, and is a pleasure to ride. No issues at all in her adjustment to a new facility. She will make the most wonderful partner for a AA or YR. We measured her at 16.2H, but with her frame, she can carry most build of riders, even very tall. We will keep updating the site with new pictures and progress reports.
