ROYAL REPLICA aka "Ripley" -- 2005, Dapple Gray Gelding. Registered Oldenburg NA. By Royal Appearance (Riverman) out of Fabrielle (Fabriano). Sturdy, uphill build, standing at 15.1H
BLOODLINES:Ripley's sire, Royal Appearance (Holsteiner) received 4th place at his 100-Day Stallion Performance Testing in CA, finishing as a Class 1 Stallion, with 9's for character, willingness, and ability to work. In 2001, Royal Appearance carried Margie Goldstein-Engle into 2nd place for the East Coast Finals of the American Young Jumper Championship. Ripley's dam, Fabrielle, is a 1996 OLD/NA mare bred by Wexford Glen Sporthorses. Presented at only 7 weeks old, she was a premium foal herself, scoring 8.5. Fabrielle was awarded 4th place out of 33 foals at the East Coast OLD/ISR Foal Championships and was the youngest in attendance. Fabrielle has produced two exceptional foals by Royal Appearance that scored 7.8 and 8.0 at their foal inspections. Ripley's dam sire is Fabriano, who is a successful upper level dressage horse, producer of premium foals, successful in all disciplines. His offspring are famous for their incredible movement, outgoing personalities, and brave and willing character.
BACKGROUND:Ripley was bred by and is still owned by Eileen Pritchard-Bryant/Wexford Glen Sporthorses. WGS has been producing exceptional performance horses since 1989 from a small, selective breeding program. In 2007, WGS was awarded Reserve Champion Breeder for Event Horses. WGS is the breeder of "Raconteur," by Royal Appearance, who is a successful international event horse. In 2007, he placed 5th at Jersey Fresh CCI2* with Best Conditioned Horse Award, and in 2008, he placed 2nd at Blair Castle (Scotland) CCI3*. WGS also produced "Ravissante," a successful Training Level eventer with an amateur, and "Presto," a nationally ranked show hunter owned by an amateur. Eileen, herself, is a licensed USEF Eventing Judge and Technical Delegate, and has been involved in equestrian sport as a competitor, trainer, breeder, owner, and instructor since the early 1980's. She is the past President of The Maryland Combined Training Association and DC of the Long Green Pony Club. Eileen expects that "...Ripley will be the ideal horse for a competitive AA/JR or professional that wants a stunning partner in a compact package that could excel in any discipline." Ripley was intended to be the next up-and-coming young event horse for Eileen's daughters, but the teenage years have brought decreased interest in riding, and Eileen has made the difficult decision to sell Ripley. It is her intention that Ripley is placed into a home where he will thrive on attention and be given the oppertunity to reach his potential.
CURRENTLY:Phoebe has watched Ripley grown and mature thru his youngster years, having giving several lessons to Eileen's daughters on him. Ripley arrived fulltime at Thornridge in late April 2011 to be officially sold. He is a curious, intelligent type that blossoms with a program. Ripley is a very quick learner and has the athleticism to excel in upper level dressage, eventing, and or jumpers. We have taken him thru a jump shoot and his keenness, form and technique are unparalleled. Ripley has a very bold and affectionate personality and connects quickly with his person. Ripley is sturdy and built to be sound: he can carry, with ease, a taller person then we expected. Under saddle videos will continue to be updated until Ripley is sold.
