William B (Weltbekannt x MS Full Moon)

2002 Chestnut Gelding, registered Hanoverian by Weltbekannt (Weltmeyer x Imperator) out of MS Full Moon (Wertherson x Jet Stream XX)

William is the epitome of a modern performance warmblood with athletic gaits, an honest temperament, and consistant rideability. With an extensive foundation in dressage, William is well balanced and comfortable to sit. From day one under saddle, he accepts a light yet consistant contact to the bridle--he has a naturally mobile and elastic neck and head carriage. William has been schooling counter-canter and lateral movements and clearly has the ability to be ridden through the upper levels of dressage. More recently, William demonstrated his true athleticism in his jumping style. Although he has been slowly introduced to jumping (we are a dressage based facility) he is supple over his topline with a round/scopey appearance and relaxed/quiet demeanor before and after the jump. His general versatility indicates that he will excell in a dressage or hunter/jumper performance career.

If you are seeking a talented horse that has a lot of personality and bonds quickly with "his person," William is the horse for you. William was purchased as a yearling by an FEI dressage rider who was seeking a lifetime partner with "star power" but not the "hotness" that is associated with such presence. He is solely offered for sale now due to the unfortunate fact that his owner is recovering from back surgery and understands that, while she is still healing, her horse is ready to shine in the competition ring now.

All interactions with prospective buyers will be directly with the owner, not an agent. William has a record of outstanding health and soundness--a positive prepurchase is expected. Past medical records can be provided upon request.

Please view William's pedigree. His sire Weltbekannt, has proven himself as not only a nationally ranked dressage competitor, but also a producer of successful dressage and jumper competitors. William's dam, Full Moon, scored a high 7.3 on her inspection and is known in the MD/VA area for producing offspring of an elegant type with kind character. William's owner is looking forward to the involvement in the training of his half brother, Wreason L, in the future.
